2009 Triathlon Canceled

It is with a heavy heart that Julie and I made the decision to cancel
the 2009 City of Gold Triathlon/Duathlon. The lake level is very low
and the Bidwell Canyon boat ramp will be the only ramp open, therefore
the road to the boat ramp would have to remain open for access. This
is the same road we use for bike in/out and runners in/out. The
potential for an accident is tremendous and we cannot take that risk. We looked for alternative locations and nothing was the right fit.

So, you have another year to train! We will be back next year - the
water has to come up by then, right???
